ACA

At the airport scope, we provide our consulting and certification services for airports that seek to join the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program (ACA) established by the Airport Council International (ACI).

The Airport Carbon Accreditation Program is the only official standard related to the management of greenhouse gas emissions in airports.

The objective of the airport's carbon is to encourage and allow airports to implement best practices in carbon management, with the ultimate goal of becoming carbon neutral.

The program has been developed by the International Airport Council and is managed by WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Accreditation gives airports the opportunity to:

Publicly demonstrate their environmental achievements

Raise the prestige of the organization through a prestigious sector accreditation

Promote the transfer of knowledge, lift the profile and credibility of the organization

Promote standardization and increase awareness and specialization.

The ACA program involves 4 levels of accreditation, which can be achieved annually, based on a 12-month reference period.

Level 1: Carbon footprint mapping (MAPPING)

Level 2: Reduction of emissions (REDUCTION)

Level 3: Optimization (OPTIMIZATION)

Level 4: Compensation of emissions (NEUTRALITY)

BMS PLANET is in partnership with ENERION RENEWABLES Italian company with great coverage in the airport field and great experience in the implementation of ACA, with clients such as Aeroporti di Roma airports, ASUR Group Airport, Cibao International Airport in Dominican Republic, between others.
